The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) met with the chief executives, leaders, officers and councillors from Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Gloucester councils for a summit meeting.

The aim was to clarify whether or not guidance issued by the Planning Minister Nick Boles earlier this month means no homes should be built on green belt land. Read more...

National Planning Policy Framework Final Version Launched

Planning minister Nick Boles has announced a new set guidelines that councils will have to follow and these include a reaffirmed emphasis on protecting the greenbelt! Previous planning practice guidance documents have now been cancelled and are being replaced by the new guidance which can be viewed in the following link:
