Just received an email about the Tewkesbury Borough Plan (TBP) and Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) public consultation, so thought l would let everyone know about this.

Tewkesbury Borough Council is beginning the process of preparing a new plan called the Tewkesbury Borough Plan and it will look at where development should go in the borough up to 2031. The consultation runs alongside that for the Joint Core Strategy. There will be staff available at all of the Joint Core Strategy event venues in Tewkesbury borough to discuss preparation of the new plan.

The Tewkesbury Borough Plan is important as it will be used to guide local planning decisions and will include land which will be developed for housing and employment, as well as the necessary infrastructure, such as schools and transport improvements, needed to support this.

Further details can be found here: https://consultation.tewkesbury.gov.uk/planning/tewkesbury-borough-plan-scoping/consult_view

You can comment on what the plan should contain via their online consultation hub at: http://consultation.tewkesbury.gov.uk from 15th October 2013.

Tewkesbury Borough Council are also preparing a supplementary planning document (SPD) in relation to Flood and Water Management issues and are inviting comments on the draft SPD.

Representations on the TBP and SPD must be received no later than 5pm on 26 November 2013. All comments received by the deadline will be considered, and will help to inform preparation of the plan and SPD. Representations should be made in writing, either via:

• the online consultation at http://consultation.tewkesbury.gov.uk

• by email to localplanconsultation@tewkesbury.gov.uk

• by post to: Planning Policy Team, Development Services, Tewkesbury Borough Council, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, GL20 5TT
