CHURCHDOWN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

On the weekend of 5th/6th March 2016, Churchdown would like to be involved with the 'Clean for the Queen' initiative. Further information can be found here: http://www.cleanforthequeen.co.uk/home/ 2365 then click the link 'about'.

Clean for The Queen is a campaign to clear up Britain in time for Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday, which will be officially celebrated in June 2016. We are calling on individuals, volunteer groups, local councils, businesses and schools to do their bit. You can start now and also take part in our Clean for The Queen weekend on March 4th, 5th and 6th 2016. Read more...

Latest news regarding proposals for 1,400 new homes on Churchdown greenbelt land.

As you will have read in previous issues of MyChurchdown Magazine, the Joint Core Strategy (JCS) comprising Gloucester City, Cheltenham Borough and Tewkesbury Borough Councils detailed that 1,400 new homes would be required in Churchdown (532 in North Churchdown and 868 in South Churchdown) up to 2031. At the moment we are collecting signatures from any local people who are in opposition to the plans.
