Latest news regarding JCS proposals for 1,400 new homes in Churchdown

Over the last few issues of MyChurchdown Magazine, you will have read regular updates on the Joint Core Strategy (JCS) proposals to build 1,400 new homes in Churchdown (532 in North Churchdown and 868 in South Churchdown) up to 2031). The JCS comprises Gloucester City, Cheltenham Borough and Tewkesbury Borough Councils.

When the JCS consultation period ended, Elizabeth Ord (an Independent Planning Inspector), was appointed to consider whether the JCS was legal and sound. The Inspector scheduled hearing sessions to cover all aspects of the JCS, and these hearings ended in July. Read more...

As a respondent to the Joint Core Strategy consultation we have received documentation through the post informing us that the secretary of state has appointed a planning inspector.

Elizabeth Ord will conduct an examination into the soundness of the JCS. The inspectors task is to consider the soundness of the plan. Read more...
