Previous Meetings

This page details previous meetings the group has had.

A meeting has been planned for the 9th of December at 19:00 at the GL3 Hub in Churchdown. This will be an opportunity to discuss the draft Joint Core Strategy and for anyone to get help responding to the consultation before the deadline is reached.

Meeting proposed for Thursday 2nd February 2012 at 19:00 at the GL3 Community Hub.

Meeting confirmed for Thursday 26th January 2012 at GL3 Community Hub.

Sarah Barnes emailed Laurence Robertson M.P. who replied saying he probably won't be able to make the meeting but hopefully his assistant Mark Calway will be able to. Mark said if he is able to attend he will try and answer any questions residents may have and to help where he can.

Below are the responses from Laurence Robertson M.P. and Mark Calway after Sarah emailed them. The latest one from Mark below in is response to Sarah informing him that the meeting is confirmed.

Mark Calway (Wed, Jan 25, 2012):

Laurence Robertson M.P. (Mon, Jan 23, 2012):

Dear Ms Barnes

Thank you for your email. I will be doing everything I can to oppose much of the JCS. I’m not sure if I will be able to make your meeting on Thursday, as I will probably be in London then and, if I’m back, I also have another meeting to try to get to! However, I hope my Assistant, Mark, will be able to attend. But please do keep in touch on this issue.

Best wishes.

Laurence Robertson M.P.

Mark Calway (Mon, Jan 23, 2012):

Dear Mrs Barnes,

Thank you or your e mail, Laurence will very much try to be back on Thursday to attend, and hopes he can, but it will all depend upon when Parliament rises, and that can be as late as 6.30. However if it is any help I will be able to attend to try and answer any questions residents may have and to help where I can. Laurence is very unhappy with the JCS as is and strongly believes that the Green Belt should not be touched and that the amount of housing proposed is far to much.

I hope that this is helpful, but in the meantime if you do have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Mark Calway

Assistant to Laurence Robertson MP
